Nordic and Namco back GMAs

Namco Bandai and Nordic Games have become the latest publishers to support this year’s Games Media Awards at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Thursday, October 14th.

Both will be helping the winners celebrate and the losers drown their sorrows by pushing singing and drinking to the top of the After Show agenda.

Nordic Games is using We Sing to sponsor the live-band-karaoke scheduled to take place as soon as the cheers and tears subside after the last award.

The GMA band are busy learning numbers from the We Sing portfolio, including some of the Robbie Williams classics recently announced for the Wii-exclusive brand. Punters who elect to perform tracks from the We Sing roster will be eligible for a prize.

Nordic Games’ sales and marketing director Nik Blower said: This year’s GMAs will be the perfect place to celebrate the simultaneous acts of singing and dancing, which is sure to end the night with a bang.”

Meanwhile, Namco Bandai will be sponsoring the main After Show Bar, courtesy of the epic Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in October.

Marketing and PR manager Lee Kirton offered: Namco Bandai Partners UK is proud to sponsor the GMAs again. It’s a great event that recognises the media talent within the games industry. Good luck as always to those nominated.”
