PlayStation is releasing a Rez VR title

There’s a – sort of – new Rez game on the way.

Entitled Rez Infinite, the title supports the firm’s upcoming PlayStation virtual reality headset. It was announced on-stage at PlayStation Experience.

It seems to borrow heavily from the original 2001 title – with involvement from creatorTetsuya Mizuguchi – but there are new levels such as Area X.

According to developer Mark MacDonald, the game is also playable without VR and runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second. It supports 7.1 audio, too.

Rez originally launched for the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 in 2001.
