Rising Star to publish Akai Katana in Europe

Adventurous publisher Rising Star Games has announced a third Cave shooter for the European market – Akai Katana.

The game was originally released on Xbox 360 in Japan in May of this year, though the game was region locked meaning all but the most ardent importers were prevented from playing it.

It’s the third Cave game to be published by Rising Star Games following Deathsmiles earlier this year and the upcoming DoDonPachi: Resurrection this Friday (November 4th).

As with all of its Cave releases, Akai Katana will include an assortment of modes and HD graphics. And being a horizontal rather than a vertical shooter, it will also offer full-screen gameplay.

Akai Katana will be released exclusively on Xbox 360 at some point in H1 2012.
