The PlayStation Revolution to receive world premiere at Science Museum’s Power Up event

The next film from the makers of gaming documentary From Bedrooms to Billions is set to make its debut at the end of this month at London’s Science Museum as part of its Power Up gaming event.

Taking place on October 25th, footage from The PlayStation Revolution will be shown in a world premiere alongside excerpts from film makers Anthony and Nicola Caulfield’s other documentaries, The Amiga Years and the critically acclaimed From Bedrooms to Billions film series. The aim is to explore six different eras that have helped shaped today’s gaming landscape.

These include the arcades of the 1970s, the home computing boom of the 80s, the 16-bit era, the console wars between Nintendo and Sega, the birth of the PlayStation and mainstream gaming culture, and mobile gaming, VR and the future.

The event will also feature a panel of games industry veterans who will be offering commentary, round-table discussions and Q&As throughout the evening, including Rebellion’s co-founders and owners Chris Kingsley and Jason Kingsley OBE, Sensible Software’s co-founder Jon Hare, former president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios and former corporate VP of Microsoft Phil Harrison, as well as From Bedrooms to Billion film makers Anthony and Nicola Caulfield.
