UK CHARTS: Mass Effect 2 still top

It’s two weeks and counting at the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40 for EA’s Mass Effect 2 this week – in fact, the top three remains exactly as it was, with Ubisoft’s Just Dance and Activision’s Modern Warfare 2 staying put in second and third respectively.

Number four welcomes a new face in the form of EA’s Dante’s Inferno, which edges ahead of FIFA 10 in fifth position. Sony’s PS3 shooter MAG drops from fourth to seventh.

You have to venture outside the Top Ten to find the next new entry – Atari’s Star Trek Online, which makes eleventh spot in its first week of release. Don’t forget, though, that Cryptic’s MMO is likely to have sold significant digital numbers too.

Other new entries include THQ’s MX vs ATV Reflex in 18th and EA’s The Sims 3: Design & Hi-Tech Stuff in 20th.

Here’s the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 10 in full (for the week ending February 6th):

1. Mass Effect 2 (EA)
2. Just Dance (Ubisoft)
3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Activision)
