Virgin Media to host UK’s first Destiny 2 gameplay event next month

Virgin Media is to host the UK’s firstDestiny 2gameplay event next month in collaboration with Activision and Bungie, the internet service provider has announced.

Taking place on July 17th and 18th at a secret central London locationjust before the official beta starts on PS4, Virgin Media Vivid Gamer customers will be able to win a chance to attend the event by entering a competition on its website, Facebook and Twitter channels.

The Virgin Fibre x Destiny 2: The Beta Experience will also involve plenty of Destiny-themed surprises for lucky attendees, who will be able to go hands on with the game in 4K courtesy on the PS4 Pro.

Virgin Media’s Vivid Gamer broadband tier has been designed in collaboration with various gaming companies, offering super fast download speeds of up to 200Mbps, plus upload speeds of up to 20Mbps.

Destiny 2 is due to launch on PS4, Xbox One and, for the first time, PC later this year, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions arriving on September 6th, and the PC edition following soon after on October 24th.
