EverQuest usage, item sales up since going F2P

SOE has passed along statistics to illustrate the impact of moving their popular and long-standing MMO EverQuest over to the free-to-play model.

The developer/publisher shared (via Blue’s News) concurrent usage is up 40 per cent, with unique log-ins having increased by 150 percent since going F2P.

Overall EverQuest registrations have increased three and a half times since the change as well, but perhaps most telling is the 125 per cent increase in item sales.

That number, along with the $5 Silver and $10 Gold memberships, are what the game has to rely on in regards to sales going forward.
