Evolve receiving 3GB day-one patch to improve matchmaking load times

Evolve players will have to endure a 3GB day-one patch when the game launches later this week, developer Turtle Rock has announced.

The game’s official site has word of the sizable mandatory update hitting all platforms as soon as the title goes on sale.

The patch improves load times in matchmaking, connectivity with the Evolve: Hunter’s Quest app, and optimizes network bandwidth. It also adds new elite skins for Hunters and Monsters, along with a list of bug fixes based on feedback from Evolve’s Big Alpha and Open Beta events.

Evolve is out this week on PC, PlayStaiton 4 and Xbox One.
