Fallout 4 PC edition sells 2m on Steam – report

Fallout 4 has reportedly exceeded 2m sales on Steam alone.

According toSteam Spy’s data, the game surpassed the milestone within 10 days of its launch. It alsosold 500,000 units within the UK in one week, and Bethesda claimed the titlesold-in 12m unitsas of launch day.

Shacknewspoints out a few notable Steam lifetime figures from other Bethesda titles for comparison’s sake, including Fallout 3 at 2.5m, Fallout: New Vegas at 4.6m, and Skyrim at 9.5m.

In related news, Bethesda has revealed the game will receive itsfirst official updatethis week. It will initially be made available as a beta release, and subsequently pushed to the official side when it’s ready.

The studio added it plans to release small patches more frequently to combat the frustratingly inevitable issues that tend to crop up when other bugs are squashed.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
