FEATURE: Labour and Tories join the debate on games

Top Labour and Conservative Ministers answer MCV’s questions on the games industry this week – with state funding and IP protection high on the agenda.

Labour’s Minister for Culture, Creative Industries and Tourism Margaret Hodge tells MCV:

We have definitely begun to more fully recognise and articulate the contribution of video games to the UK economy as a whole.”

And The Conservatives’ Shadow Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt MP comments:

The UK video games industry is obviously a vitally important part of our economy. The Government needs to do all it can to support the video games sector and allow it to flourish.”
