First Final Fantasy VII Remake gameplay shown

PlayStation US boss Shawn Layden took to the stage at the PlayStation Experience to show off more footage of the remake of Final Fantasy VII.

The long-rumoured title was announced during the platform holder’s E3 conference to much fanfare.

The game features a more active battle system, similar to that seen in upcoming Final Fantasy XV.

No release information was announced. Square also took to the stage to reveal that the HD edition of the original Final Fantasy VII (announced at last year’s PlayStation Experience) would be hitting PS4 today.
