Football Manager Classic 2015 hitting tablets this week

Sega has confirmed that Football Manager Classic 2015 will be released on iPad and Android tablets this week.

The game, which is out at midnight on the night of Thursday April 9th, contains real-world clubs from 117 leagues from 51 countries and has been specifically optimised for touchscreens.

The ‘Classic’ game mode first arrived in Football Manager 2013 and was designed to appeal to those who preferred a more simplified version of game akin to earlier releases. It still includes the now standard 3D match engine, however.

Football Manager Handheld 2015 is already available on tablets and smartphones.

Getting a full game mode from the home computer version of Football Manager onto tablets has been a dream of ours for a couple of years,” Sports Interactive boss Miles Jacobson said. Finally there are some devices powerful enough to allow us to do this and we’re delighted to bring the most sophisticated football management experience to tablets to date.”

The game is compatible with the iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and 3 as well as a number of Android tablets including many Samsung Galaxy Tabs and Sony Xperias.
