Former THQ VP Ron Moravek joins Nexon America

Nexon America has hired former THQ VP Ron Moravek as its new senior VP of live game operations.

The publisher confirmed the hire to Games Industry, following Moravek listing the new job on his LinkedIn page.

Moravek worked at THQ for 15 years, before the publisher was forced to shut down operations earlier this year. He also served as a senior advisor to NuCaptcha, CEO of Sitemasher, and COO of EA’s Vancouver studio.

Nexon America wouldn’t comment on what exactly Moravek will be working, but it seems likely he’ll play a role in the expansion of the publisher’s social and mobile focus.
