Customers who buy Alan Wake new will receive a code to access DLC that will be released later in the year.
The move follows similar actions from EA, who have been offering free DLC with new games to discourage pre-owned sales and piracy.
Meanwhile the Alan Wake shop is now open. The shop features T-shirts, bags, hats and even boxer shorts. Fans can also pick up Alan Wake posters, stickers and a flashlight.
Alan Wake comes out on Xbox 360 on May 14th.
