Free Xbox Live Gold membership offered with Office 365 subscription

Microsoft is offering a year’s free membership to Xbox Live Gold to those who subscribe to its Office 365 subscription plan.

The Office 365 Home Premium annual subscription costs 79.99 and entitles owners to install the Microsoft Office client on up to five PCs and Macs for a year. It is offered as an alternative to buying Office outright and offers various cloud-based functions.

The deal is also available for those who sign up to the four-year Office 365 University subscription.

Those who sign up between July 18th and September 28th will receive their Xbox Live code by October 31st. Note that the Xbox Live code is only valid for the account that was used to register for Office 365.

The deal is available in a range of countries including the UK, US and much of Europe and South America.
