[Industry news] XDS marks move to the Vancouver Convention Centre with 50% off tickets for first 100 developers

This is a press release posted in addition to our usual editorial content.

XDS is celebrating its expansion to the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) with an exclusive early opportunity for developers and publishers. The first 100 to secure their XDS 2026 tickets will receive:

  • 50% off their pass
  • First access to discounted hotel rates
  • An invitation to Ignite Vancouver, a half-day, developer-focused experience offering exclusive sessions, interactive panels, and meaningful networking over breakfast and lunch

This early bundle is designed to give developers and publishers a powerful head start as XDS enters its next chapter in 2026.

“Developers and publishers are at the heart of XDS,” said Chris Wren, Founder and Executive Director. “As we move to the Vancouver Convention Centre, we’re expanding our ability to support this community with more space, deeper programming, and opportunities to connect, while keeping the intimacy that XDS is known for.”

A New Home for a Growing Global Community

The move to the Vancouver Convention Centre reflects the momentum XDS has built as the world’s leading event for external game development. The new venue increases capacity across every dimension – more breakout rooms, larger meeting spaces, a bigger show floor, and additional opportunities for curated networking.

The 2025 event highlighted the scale and diversity of the XDS community:

  • 950+ attendees
  • 330+ participating companies
  • 50+ countries represented
  • 85 sponsors, 32 exhibitors
  • 3,200+ confirmed meetings through XDS Connect
  • Climate Friendly Event Designation

This growth underscored the need for a venue that can support the evolving needs of developers, publishers, and co-development partners worldwide.

Expanding What XDS Can Deliver

XDS 2026 will deepen its role as a global hub for co-development, giving studios and publishers a platform to build relationships, showcase their capabilities, and explore new opportunities.

“Our goal has always been to create a space where developers and publishers can connect, collaborate, and move the industry forward,” said Carla Rylance, Chair – XDS Advisory Committee. “The move to the VCC will allow us to expand that mission and deliver an even richer experience.”

Developer Tickets Are Now Available

Developers and publishers are encouraged to act quickly to secure the 50% early ticket discount, exclusive hotel rate access at launch, and invitation to Ignite Vancouver.
