GAME begins selling Blu-ray and music

UK retailers GAME and Gamestation have from today started selling Blu-ray movies and music in-store, on the same day that the Star Wars: The Complete Saga Blu-ray boxset is released.

Around 300 stores in total will offer a catalogue of over 60 Blu-ray films. Blu-rays will also be included in future trade-in and pre-owned offers, just like games.

In addition to this around 200 stores have begun stocking selected chart music.

At GAME we are dedicated to giving our customers everything they need for the ultimate gaming experience,” GAME’s head of UK PR Neil Ashurst stated.

The PS3 console is now under 200 and for that price gamers are getting a great Blu-ray player as well as one of the best consoles out there. We know gamers want to make the most of their console and use all its available functions, we are therefore delighted to be offering customers the chance to buy Blu-ray and music through both retailers.”
