GAME.co.uk back up and running after down time

The GAME Group has apologised for the technical issues that have marred the re-launch of the GAME and Gamestation websites.

Both portals are now up and running.

The pair were re-launched last Friday, gathering much attention. Gamestation’s 99 Xbox 360 console promotion, in particular, saw a record number of visitors flock to the site, putting considerable strain on the system.

In the days that followed both sites remained offline. Gamestation was reinstatefirst, though GAME.co.uk was only switched back on in the last hour.

Following re-launching our websites last week, we experienced some problems which we have worked hard to resolve,” a GAME spokesperson told MCV. Both game.co.uk and gamestation.co.uk are now back up and running.

We know that customers have had a bad experience over the past few days and in particular, some have been locked out of their accounts, which has been incredibly frustrating.

We can only say sorry, reassure that we are continuing to investigate the issues experienced and will work with them to resolve any issues they may continue to have.”

The retailer has assured customers that any existing orders were not affected by the problems.
