GAME Downloader goes live

As a further foray into the growing digital space, retailer GAME has officially launched its new GAME Downloader PC software.

Upon installation, the program scans a user’s PC to identify all the installed games. These are then recorded and every time a patch or expansion becomes available the user is alerted.

Also available is an automatic download feature that will independently trigger the download of approved content. It also offers a free news service and even some free content, including indie games.

We’re continuing to enhance the customer experience through digital services,” GAME’s general manager of digital services Paul Howes stated. GAME Downloader is an example of how we can add value and engage more closely with gamers who shop for discs and downloads.”

The GAME Downloader can be found here.
