GAME hikes Dead Island price

Hungry consumers have caused Dead Island to sell out – with GAME raising its price to 47.99 – but more stock is on the way.

The first-person zombie action game supplied by Koch Media and published by its Deep Silver label is in strong demand. So much so that GAME and Gamestation has raised the game’s in-store price from 39.99 to 47.99 within the space of one week.

MCV understands the Xbox 360 version of the title has sold out, with a small amount of PS3 and PC copies available in several stores.

However, Koch has confirmed to MCV that more stock is on the way as of today.

Dead Island went straight to No.1 in the Chart-Track Top 40 after going on sale last Friday. It has shipped 1m units in the US.
