GAME reveals next-gen game trade-in program for UK

UK gamers have finally got their own next-gen game trade-in program.

Retailer GAME is offering a guaranteed 40 trade-in value for a range of PS3 and Xbox 360 titles when gamers hand them over in order to upgrade to either the PS4 or Xbox One version.

The titles confirmed so far are FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Details remain scarce, however. For instance, it’s not clear whether consumers can trade-in cross-platform – meaning could they get the same store credit when swapping Xbox 360 for PS4, for instance.

And while the relevant games are priced 49.99 online, there’s no clarification of how much they could cost in-store.

GameStop last month revealed a similar trade-in offer in the US. Sony has also revealed a digital upgrade program that will offer discounts.
