Gameloft signs LG Optimus deal

Mobile games publisher Gameloft has signed an agreement with South Korean electronics powerhouse LG that will see a number of its titles come pre-installed in the firm’s new 3D smartphone.

Gamesradar reports that first person shooter NOVA, racer Asphalt 6 and Let’s Golf 2 will all come pre-bundled on the device, which joins the Nintendo 3DS in offering glasses-free 3D visuals.

Unlike Nintendo’s machine, the handset itself doesn’t have a 3D slider to adjust the intensity of the effect though it will be possible to tweak the settings for each individual title.

The LG Optimus is due to be launched in the UK on April 25th and will be available as a standalone handset for around 500.
