GAMES MEDIA AWARDS: Mainstream media

Steve Boxer (pictured) scooped the Games Writer on a National Newspaper accolade for his work on The Guardian, while FHM’s Simon Munk was named as the best Games Writer on a Lifestyle Magazine.

Top Games Writer on a Mainstream Website was Darren Waters, the BBC’s technology correspondent, while the Regional Games Column awards was handed out to Ewan Ross of the Liverpool Echo.

Johnny Minkley’s regular games slot on Jo Whiley’s Radio One show was also singled out for praise, confirmed as the best Broadcast on Mainstream TV or Radio.
