Gamespot UK tops 4.9m monthly users

Gamespot UK currently boasts more than 4.9 million unique monthly users based within the UK alone.

That’s according to the latest ABC figures for the site, recorded between December 1st and December 31st, 2009. The new figures marks a 9 per cent year-on-year growth when compared to the 4.5 million unique monthly users in 2008.

We’ve gone from strength to strength,” Gamespot UK editor Guy Cocker told MCV. We’re doing really well in the UK, thanks to plenty of exclusive content and the global relationship that we’ve been cultivating with the other Gamespot teams over the last five years.”

Gamespot also reported a daily average of 236,000 unique visitors and 1.6 million page impressions. Monthly page impressions came in at 49 million.
