GameStop expands PC offer

US retail giant GameStop has announced a fresh push into the digital PC space.

As of yesterday the retailer claims to have upwards of 1,500 PC titles available at each of its 4,400 US stores. They are sold in the form of codes that can be redeemed against a PC download.

To kick off the promotion GameStop is also offering up to 75 per cent off a number of PC games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Civilization V, Age of Empires III and Deus Ex Human Revolution.

"This tremendous PC game collection ensures gamers will always find what they want, and they can use cash, gift cards and trade credit as currency," GameStop’s GM of digital distribution Steve Nix stated.

"GameStopPowerUp Rewards members will earn points and will also receive special PC promotions and updates on their favourite titles."
