GameStop slashes Deus Ex: HR to £20.97

This Friday’s release of Square Enix’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution not only marks the beginning of the holiday games buying season, but also it seems the now traditional price wars at retail.

And it’s online newcomer GameStop.co.uk that has fired the first shot.

The retailer is currently selling the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for just 20.97. Postage is free, though express delivery will add 5 to the total.

Note that as GameStop will ship the game from Ireland, its arrival on day one can’t be certain. The offer ends at 16:00 today.

It’s an extraordinary price for a game that is bound to be a massive hit at retail. Indeed, the mood will likely irk retail rivals who are already struggling to cope with the eroding price of games in the UK.
