Gameswipe debuts tonight

The industry is waiting with baited breath for tonight’s airing of Gameswpie, Charlie Brooker’s one-off 50 minute look at the world of gaming.

Serious TV coverage of video games is hard to come by in this day and age. And whilst any sort of informed coverage will be welcomed, many are also keen to see how the satirical eye of former games journalist Brooker interprets the modern industry.

Brooker himself described the show via Twitter earlier today as: Partly aimed at people who don’t give a shit about games. Post-watershed games coverage = rare as tartan clouds.”

The show will be broadcast on BBC4 at 10:00pm tonight. Those of you unfortunate enough to not have access to digital TV can always check out a live stream of the show via the BBC iPlayer.
