Gearbox teases new Borderlands 2 DLC

Gearbox has revealed a new Borderlands 2 character is on its way in an upcoming DLC pack.

During a SXSW panel, the developer showed off a teaser showing a silhouetted figure with devastating power.

"Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped,” the teaser read. "Bandits beware, a new vault hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."

Gearbox franchise director Matt Armstrong didn’t have a release date for the add-on, but made it clear we’ll see it sooner rather than later.

"DLC is announced on a very tight schedule, and I don’t think you’ll have to wait long until you see that character,” Armstrong said.

The developer specified to Joystiq that the DLC is not included as part of the Boderlands 2 Season Pass.
