Gears of War 3 torrented

Despite not being due to hit retail until September 20th, an early build of Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War 3 has appeared for download on the internet.

Microsoft has obviously said that it’s on the case with tracking the source down, but in the mean time it has claimed that the code currently available is "not representative" of the final game.

"We have seen the reports of Gears of War 3 content being propped on the web and working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation," a statement reads.

"This content is not from a final build and is not representative of what fans will enjoy when the game launches."
