Gizmondo to return this year

A new Gizmondo website has gone live and promises the return of one of gaming’s most notorious brands by the end of the year.

The legend is reborn”, begins the flashy video posted over at gizmondolive.com, which also references an open source environment,” a Gizmondo live marketplace,” and Create your own games” – from which we can assume that the new project will be based around user generated content. Very few other details are present on the site.

The Gizmondo brand has a controverisal history – online reports yesterday suggest that former boss Stefan Eriksson was released from jail yesterday.
