Godus faces nail-biting Kickstarter close as it nears £450k target

Peter Molyneux’s Godus faces a tense last two days as the Kickstarter project slowly closes in on its 450,000 target.

At the time of writing Godus stands at 418,000 – just 32,000 short of its goal. But with only 56 hours to go, it’s very much squeaky bums time down at developer 22Cans.

Kicktraq predicts that at current funding rates the project will close at 445,430 – tantalizingly close but still short of its goal.

It looked for a long time as if the game would suffer the same fate as the Oliver Twins’ Dizzy Returns by missing its target by some margin, but a renewed PR drive from Molyneux and a surge of interest saw the backing rate increase dramatically, with yesterday being the game’s second most successful day.

Godus will need to replicate that success again today if it is to succeed.
