Green Man Gaming pushes Playfire link with giveaway

UK digital and physical retailer Green Man Gaming aims to grow both its own userbase and that of its social network site Playfire.

The firm acquired Playfire in July last year. The site allows gamers to track which games they and their friends are playing across multiple platforms, including Xbox Live, PSN and Steam.

Green Man Gaming is encouraging Playfire users to link their profile with their GMG account, offering free games this weekend to any linked members. It also hopes this giveaway will encourage new users to sign up to both sites and merge their accounts.

Titles given away include Zombies, Ninja Blade, Unstoppable Gorg and Superstar V8 Next Challenge. Each will be available for one day only.

There will also be a competition to will 100 of GMG credit, Microsoft points or PSN credit.
