Hearthstone mobile revenue overtakes PC

Blizzard’s World of Warcraft inspired card battler Hearthstone is for the first time making more on smartphones than it is on PC.

SuperData Arcade data reveals that the game’s mobile revenue had remained fairly low since it was launched on iPad in April 2014. However, following the release of the phone version earlier this year mobile revenues have taken off, jumping from $2m to over $10m.

This has, however, brought with it a decline a PC, which has fallen from nearly $15m to around $6m.

Superdata also shows unsurprising revenue spikes around the time of the release of the game’s Curse of Naxxramas and Goblins vs Gnomes expansions.
