Her Story launches on Android

Indie smash hit and critical darling Her Story is coming to Google’s Play Store.

Her Story launched on iOS last year, at the same time as the PC version, and has finally reached Android devices today. It is currently on sale, at just 2.69.

Sam Barlow’s FMV-driven title has met incredible critical and commercial success since its original release, selling 100,000 copies in just over a month and winning three categories at the BAFTA Game Awards.

The developer is already working on a spiritual successor, he announced back in January.

Barlow also told MCV that Her Story is a perfect fit for mobile platforms: The input is primarily keyboard and clicks, so it works well on mobile.

And those devices are now such a part of how we consume video, and how we search the internet, that it felt natural that a game that revolved around those ideas would work well there. I was also very interested in trying to reach an audience that wasn’t necessarily playing traditional games – those that might not have a Steam account."
