Hitman film producer working on Thief movie adaptation – report

A film adaptation based on stealth action series Thief is in development, according to a new report.

Tracking Board sources claim the movie is in the works from production companies Vertigo and Prime Universe. Vertigo most recently produced licensed film adaptation The Lego Movie.

Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee are currently assuming producer roles. The pair are known for producing the Deus Ex film project, and Askarieh was also behind Hitman’s 2007 big screen adaptation.

The Thief video game franchise originally launched in 1999, with a reboot landing just earlier this year.
