Homefront landing in March

With the last of the 2010’s big releases making their way to retail over the next couple of weeks, attention is already turning to next year – and THQ’s Homefront has become one of the first big hitters to get a solid 2011 release date.

Speaking via Twitter the publisher has confirmed that shooter Homefront will be released in the UK on March 11th. It will hit the US a few days earlier on March 8th and both continental Europe and Australia on March 10th.

Made by owned developer Kaos Studios, the game sees an American Civil Resistance force fighting to resist the occupying army of North Korea.

Kaos Studios is using powerful narrative and environmental storytelling to create a plausible, near-futuristic setting where the people of a once mighty nation must fight to maintain their existence,” THQ’s vice president of global brand management Kevin Kraff.

This harsh backdrop will be the foundation for an emotionally-charged single-player campaign and an intense multiplayer experience.”

It’s due out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
