Hundreds queue at GAME for 3DS

Staff at over 400 GAME and Gamestation stores across the country faced a light finish last night and an early start today as Nintendo’s 3DS finally launched in the UK.

The chain opened the doors to 482 of its outlets last night to let early adopters get their hands on the 3DS as soon as physically possible. Those same stores were open again first thing this morning to welcome the hundreds more who looked to obtain their units.

"Our GAME and Gamestation stores saw hundreds of gamers queue up to finally get their hands on the Nintendo 3DS," head of UK comms and PR Neil Ashurst told MCV.

"The feedback we’ve had is that the 3DS really does live up to all the expectations and we expect that to continue over the weekend as people show their friends how amazing it is."
