I Am Alive comes to life on March 7th

After over three years in the wilderness, Ubisoft’s now digital-only title I Am Alive has finally got a release date.

The game will arrive as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade House Party promotion and will be available on the service from March 7th. It will cost 1200 Microsoft Points (10.28) to download.

The game sees a nameless protagonist on quest to find his wife and daughter amidst the ruins of a city savaged by the ‘Event’. Players will have to overcome both enemies and the environment to prevail.

I Am Alive was first revealed at E3 2008. Rumours at one point alluded to the cancellation of the game, though it later returned as a download-only title.

Three other titles have also been dated as part of Microsoft’s promotion – Warp (Feb 15th), Alan Wake’s American Nightmare (Feb 22nd) and Nexuiz (Feb 29th).
