IGDA hosting indie dev showcase in Sydney tonight

The Independent Game Developer’s Association (IGDA) is set to hold an event in Sydney tonight where indie developers can show off their projects.

The 120 person capacity of the venue (The Bank Hotel in Newtown) has already been passed by the number of expected attendees, and Dan Graf from the IGDA Sydney has already indicated to MCV his expectations to grow subsequent events.

Graf says: "It’s inspiring to discover the untapped wealth of local indie talent we have in Sydney – we have a plan to continue expanding IGDA Sydney events through the latter half of 2011 in the lead-up to our mammoth indie developer challengeGameJam Sydney 2012in January next year."

Presenters for the event include Rebecca Fernandez (Convict Interactive), Michela Ledwidge (Mod Productions) and Paul Gray (Bubblegum Interactive).

The event will house hands-on and playtesting sessions of upcoming indie projects as well as hearing from the list of presenters and being a networking event for iOS and online development teams throughout Sydney.
