India Game Developers Conclave this August in Bangalore

UBM India has announced that it will hold the inaugural India Game Developers Conclave (IGDcon) on 7th and 8th August in Bangalore.

UBM India is the sister company of UBM TechWeb, which organises the Game Developer Conference in the US as well as its European and Chinese counterparts.

"In building IGDcon, we have set out to create a truly unique gaming experience that is in sync with what the market needs. UBM India will endeavour to bring forth innovations while ensuring a cutting-edge conference programme for this industry," IGDcon conference chair Badri Narayan said.

The two-day conference will focus on game development and related technologies, and UBM India expects over 800 attendees.

Aside from keynotes from industry leaders, parallel conference tracks, workshops, and panel discussions, the event will also feature an expo showcasing game development tools, platforms, and related services.

IGDcon will also focus on independent developers, giving upcoming talent a chance to showcase their skills.

The IGDcon website is now live. There isn’t much to see as of now, but expect that to change in the lead-up to the conference.
