Infamous series goes download-only

GAMESCOM: The next instalment in Sucker Punch’s superhero franchise Infamous will be a digital-only title.

Sony announced during its Gamescom press conference that it will release Infamous 2: Festival of Blood exclusively through PSN.

The game is a spin-off from this summer’s hit PS3 game Infamous 2 and pits hero Cole McGrath against hordes of vampires that have overrun his city.

McGrath has been bitten and the only way to save his soul is to kill the head vampire before the sun rises, giving him a single night to complete his mission.

Infamous 2: Festival of Blood will be released in October.
