Initial Vainglory World Championship details to be announced next week

In an interview with MCV at E3, Kristian Segerstrale, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director at Super Evil Megacorp revealed that the dates for the Vainglory World Championship will be announced next week.

We just finished the spring season with our spring finals, then we will have the summer season and the summer finals for each region, and then after that we will have the world championship,” said Segerstrale.We are going to announce the world championship next week, as in we will announce when the world championship will be, and we are very excited about that. As the summer season kicks off on Thursday, that is when information on the rest of this year’s eSports structures, as well as some exciting partnership announcements, will come out. So look forward to more details next week.”

At E3 Vainglory was being shown off at the Samsung booth, with the game running on the company’s new hardware. A two day Vainglory tournament was also held, featuring top teams from across the world including the likes of Team SoloMid and G2, however it was Korean sideInvincible Armada who eventually came out on top.
