iPad sales pass 1m

Apple says it has sold a million iPads in its first month on sale.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs said, "One million iPads in 28 days, that’s less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone. Demand continues to exceed supply, and we’re working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers."

The touch-screen device sold 300,000 units on its first day on sale. Many game companies are betting on iPad to deliver iPhone-like numbers, but with a richer gameplay experience delivered by the larger screen.
