iTunes success for GAME app

GAME’s iPhone app is one of the most downloaded of
its type. The app is one of the Top 20 Free Utilities on iTunes.

This week the retailer issued an update to the app that adds the ability to find the nearest GAME via GPS and then get directions through Google Maps.

The original app launched earlier this year and enabled GAME customers to search for products and place orders.

It also lets shoppers check their reward card balance, browse through new releases and watch gameplay trailers.

GAME is just one of a few retailers with iPhone apps.
Argos, Amazon and Best Buy all offer mobile services.

We recognise that customers are increasingly using their mobiles for accessing information, and buying online,” said GAME’s general manager of digital services Paul Howes.

We’re committed to extending the GAME shopping experience and to developing our multi-channel proposition.

We’re therefore delighted that the GAME app ranks amongst the most downloaded utilities.”
