Jon Murphy joins Football Manager Online team

The former boss of Konami’s PES franchise in the UK has joined Football Manager developer Sports Interactive.

SI boss Miles Jacobson confirmed the appointment on Twitter, stating: Very happy that @JonMurphy666 has today signed for the @SI_games on a 6 month loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer working on FMO.”

Murphy confirmed his departure from Konami last September. He had been with the company for 16 years, most recently serving as PES Team Leader.

After 16 years at Konami I’ve decided to seek new challenges,” he said. Amazing messages from all. Genuinely surprised/touched. Thank you. Really interested in demo feedback, but for now off to walk dog.”
