June date for new Red Faction

Publisher THQ has announced that free-roaming Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sequel Red Faction: Armageddon will be released in the UK on June 3rd.

Its US arrival will come a few days earlier on May 31st.

The game sees players return to Mars once again as protagonist Darius Mason flees to the Martian underground to escape the horrors of the surface.

Environmental destruction will, as it has since the early days of the series, play a central role to how levels pan out.
