Kalypso Media appoints Jürgen Goeldner as strategic advisor

Kalypso Media has appointed Square Enix’s Jrgen Goeldner as its strategic advisor, the publisher has announced.

In his new role, Goeldner will be working with Kalypso’s co-founder and global managing director Simon Hellwig on the firm’s branding, platforms, strategy and general global expansion as it prepares to bring its new titles and IPs to market across PC and consoles.

In the last ten years, Kalypso has grown from a two-man operation into a nearly 100-strong global publishing house, with double-digit million sales and seven publishing locations around the world.

"With Jrgen Goeldner, I have an experienced sparring partner who can help me with the strategic and operational orientation of Kalypso and whose network will give us access to new cooperation partners and new IPs," Hellwig commented.

Goeldner adds: "For me, Kalypso Media is a ‘hidden gem’ and has enormous growth potential that is ready to be nurtured and developed. I am therefore very pleased to be able to accompany Simon Hellwig on this journey and to make my contribution towards Kalypso’s continued growth as an advisor."
