Kinect-less Xbox One announced by Microsoft

Microsoft has upped its game in the next-gen race by announcing a new Xbox One SKU that doesn’t include a Kinect camera.

The new bundle will include a console and controller and cost 350 – that’s the same as the current PS4 RRP and 50 less than the existing Xbox One.

Microsoft has for months insisted that it would not drop the often unpopular Kinect from its Xbox One retail offer.

As recently as last month Xbox boss Phil Spencer was playing down the demand for such a move, although he did concede that he wanted to make sure that we’re in tune with what current or potential customers are asking for from us”
