Konami and Harmonix settle Rock Band lawsuit

Konami and Harmonix have agreed to settle out of court after a two-year patent dispute over Rock Band.

A Texas court filing said both companies had agreed to dismiss all claims and counterclaims” in the lawsuit, according to Bloomberg. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The lawsuit was originally filed by Konami in 2008, claiming Harmonix’s Rock Band’s controllers infringed on its own patents for instrument-shaped controllers.

Harmonix later counter-sued, claiming Konami’s Rock Revolution infringed on patents related to Rock Band.
