Kongregate returns to Android marketplace

The Android version of the Kongregate Arcade app is now available to download again.

The app was originally pulled by Google when the firm claimed Kongregate was using the Android marketplace to advertise another app store.

Kongregate CEO Jim Greer said he was shocked” by the decision, explaining that Arcade works as a mobile browser for the established online games portal rather than a standalone outlet.

The company has now reworked Kongregate Arcade, with the addition of URLs and browser cache files bringing it within Google’s app requirements.

The old app can still be found on the Kongregate site, although the firm promises to work with Google to determine if we should stop supporting that version”, according to VG247.
